STATEMENT FROM THOMAS NILSEN, FOUNDER OF CREAM T PICKUPS
Thomas Nilsen has left Cream T Pickups & Cream T Guitars.
I created and founded Cream T Pickups in the early 2000’s and, as I have said in several interviews over the past few years, I came up with the name Cream, as in crème de la crème of sound and tone. And T for Thomas. After the decision was made regarding the name I then had the great pleasure to meet a lot of artists and make bespoke pickups for their tourings and recordings. I had a good run with Cream T Pickups and I had the pleasure to design new pickups in collaboration with Billy F Gibbons and others (the list is long).
I decided in February 2022 to look at bespoke pickups that are tailored for the artist/customer on a different level. Cream T Pickups was going into mass production and that didn't fit in with my new adventure. I left Cream T Pickups & Cream T Guitars early 2022.
The time is right to move on to a new adventure, where I make bespoke pickups with exclusive materials, design in a unique way for the customer/artist.
I also wish to use this oppurtunity to express my gratitude to all the customers and artists that I have had the pleasure to work with during the years of Cream T Pickups and wish the new owners and employees of Cream T Pickups & Cream T Guitars all the best in the years to come.
